Using sunlight and cyanotype chemistry, students will create their own collection of botanical cyanotype prints - just like Anna Atkins, who made the first book of photographs in the 1840s.
Ages:10 years and above
Duration: 1.5 hours
Group Size: Maximum 8 students
Each young artist will:
- Learn the magic of sun printing and its fascinating history
- Explore our gardens to collect leaves, flowers, and natural materials
- Create test prints
- Design a final nature study piece to take home
- Take home a portfolio containing 3-4 experimental prints and one main artwork
